General information about the Instrumental Department

The work of the Instrumental Department is traditionally characterized by a greater scope and intensity in comparison with other areas of the international music academy within the Sochi festival. The name of maestro Yuri Bashmet attracts to Sochi the greatest musicians of our time - virtuosos, soloists, teachers, professors of prestigious educational institutions in Europe, Asia and America, ready to share their experience and lessons of skill with the musicians of the younger generation.

This time the Instrumental Department includes thirteen specialties - piano, violin, viola, cello, double bass, trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba, flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon.
